The purpose of this design standard is to acquaint the Consultant with functions and standards of the University of Utah. A basic knowledge in these areas is essential before consultants can successfully carry out contract responsibilities.
This design standard describes University policies, procedures, and requirements which pertain to the construction of new and remodeled facilities. It is an essential tool and guide to be used by the Consultant through all phases of project development. It is not meant to dictate design solutions, but rather guide design decisions to be in harmony with University standards.
