Sergeant Kent Curtis

During 33 years of service, Sergeant Kent Curtis has provided outstanding police service and dedication to all his assignments.  For the last 24 years, Kent has been assigned to various supervisory assignments.  Currently, Kent serves as the Campus Investigations and Evidence Sergeant.  Other investigators have expressed great appreciation for his willingness to serve and assist with criminal investigations.  In addition, the Dean of Student’s Office has verbally expressed appreciation for the level of service Kent has provided to their office.  Kent has been recognized for his careful and safe planning of road race events on campus.

Kent continues to be a loyal and dedicated employee of our department.  He works hard and displays each of the Department Core Values in a positive way.

Dispatcher Mike Cook

Mike Cook is an excellent and knowledgeable employee.  He is an excellent trainer and has been praised for his training skills.  He is one of the leaders in picking up shifts that need coverage and jumps right in, always with a helpful attitude.  Mike has “IT” knowledge and has assisted in help with the computers and cameras; he is always helping dispatch in any way he can from upgrading to troubleshooting.  Mike is consistently going above and beyond not only for dispatch but for the department as a whole.  Mike is truly an asset to the Department of Public Safety.
